abstract="Sports-related eye injuries are quite common, yet the number of athletes who utilize protective eyewear is extremely low. The purpose of this study was to determine if there is a significant visual field loss associated with wearing eye protection. One of the authors was subjected to standard kinetic visual field testing with and without eye goggles. No significant difference was revealed. Physicians, physical therapists, and trainers should promote the use of protective eyewear and reassure athletes that they will not lose visual field.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>",
