abstract="A part of the statistical analysis of the road traffic accidents with personal injuries in the period of 1963-1979 in Hungary is reported here. The data are based on the computer analysis of the Central Bureau of Statistics. More than half a million injuries have been analysed according to localisation and dynamics. The most frequent are the head injuries, followed by the lower and upper extremities. The diagram shows the correlation between the "revolution and motorization" and the changes of the road safety. The efficiency of the safety belt is numerically proved, especially in the protection from head injury. The need for further development of the trauma network is emphasized.

Language: hu
",
