abstract="This paper describes a new algorithm of an electric power assistant steering system control. A problem found in a vehicle with ordinary steering and the reason why it occurs physically is clarified. It is apparent at low damping of the transfer function of steering angle / steering torque at high speed. This is derived from interference between the steering system and vehicle system. We strictly solved the controller using a simple model, and then in order to maintain the stability of the controller, we approximated a strict solution as a simple controller that is described as a first order non-minimum phase transfer function. Lastly, we validate our result of analysis thorugh a driving test conducted with an actual vehicle.<p />",
