abstract="Despite the introduction of compulsory seat belt legislation, the incidence of eye injuries, and their severity, is greater in Auckland, New Zealand, than in London, Canada. A comparison has been made between Auckland (83 cases) and London (50 cases) in a survey from 1 July 1970, to 31 December 1974. Consideration is given to the fact that New Zealand vehicles are equipped with heat-toughened (tempered) glass, whereas in Canada, vehicles are fitted with laminated windscreens.",
