abstract="In the context of a prospective study of alcohol-dependent men, who were committed to compulsory treatment after violations of the law, all patients of a treatment unit in Rheinland/Pfalz during the years 1988-90 were studied. Sociodemographic data, results of psychological testing and records of therapeutic progress of 76 men are evaluated.
