abstract="Recent trends in the treatment of acute poisoning, including exposure to gas, are briefly discussed. According to the new WHO/IPCS guidelines, a more restrictive use of gastric lavage and induction of emesis is recommended. Toxicokinetic evaluation of the efficacy of elimination procedures has lead to very few remaining indications for haemoperfusion, and forced acidic diuresis is no longer recommended.<p /><p>Language: no</p>",
