abstract="This article addresses the role of the Activities Coordinator in a longterm care facility as a catalyst in the provision of meaningful activities that are based on individual interests and needs. While group activities are of great importance and are often the basis on which a program is evaluated, attention must also be paid to the needs and quality of life of the socially isolated resident. Suggestions are made for means of involving these individuals in some phase of the activities program.<p />",
