abstract="As the number of adults with developmental disabilities/mental retardation (DD/MR) increases, the need for death education also must be addressed. A life cycle approach is one way to help clients with DD/MR come to terms with death, dying and loss. An inservice workshop helped professionals be comfortable with these issues and learn the life cycle approach. Following training, this program was successfully used with adults with DD/MR to help them express their feelings and understand death and dying.<p />",
