abstract="Quality of life for individual nursing home residents has become a primary focus for nursing home care. Providing this quality begins with a comprehensive assessment which idenlifies resident strengths and preferences. The federally mandated resident assessment provides a format for interdisciplinary assessments and care plans which are individualized and resident centered. Activity professionals will play a key role in this assessment and its emphasis on the quality of life aspects of residents' lives.<p />",
