abstract="In the present paper, effort has been made mainly to find out the association that exists between retirees' engagement in various activities on one hand, and their life satisfaction, on the other. The results of the investigation demonstrate that there is a statistically significant positive association of life satisfaction with the involvement in the activities connected with the occupation and hobbies and interaction with the friends and members of voluntary organizations. Engagement in religious and household activities, and interaction with family members, neighbours and relatives have no such impact on the retirees' happiness.<p />",
