abstract="This study investigated the effects of participation in community organizations and socioeconomic status (SES) on life satisfaction of senior citizens. A sample of 198 senior citizens drawn from groups reflecting known levels of high and low SES and community participation, responded to a telephone interview employing a revision of the Life Satisfaction Index A. A significant interaction effect indicated that the high participation and high SES senior group produced the largest life satisfaction scores of the four groups interviewed.<p />",
