When We Were Young is an outgrowth of the Intergenerational Program at the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center and was written in response to the negative images that were portrayed in children's literature. This type of project enhances self esteem in the residents, and attracts positive attention to institutional living environments from the community at large.<p />",
