abstract="A study of the severity of injuries sustained by 1590 casualties in road traffic accidents showed that the pedestrian had the greatest fatality followed by vehicle occupants and motorcyclists. The fatality among pedal cyclists was the least. The introduction of well-tested countermeasures to reduce morbidity and mortality of different classes of road users in Nigeria is advocated.<p />",
