abstract="This 35 mph, 50% offset, 30 degree oblique vehicle-to-vehicle impact test was conducted for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Vehicle Research and Test Center. The aim was to evaluate the aggressiveness of the bullet vehicle, a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer and the vehicle and occupant response of the target vehicle, a 1997 Honda Accord LX 4-door sedan, in this vehicle-to-vehicle impact mode. The Accord sustained a maximum of 32.3&quot; of static crush (measured without the bumper fascia). The driver dummy's 36-ms and 15-ms head injury criteria (HIC) were both reported to be 3310. Its maximum chest deceleration was measured at 81.1g. The Trailblazer sustained a maximum of 12.5&quot; of static crush (measured without the bumper fascia). The driver-seat dummy's 36-ms and 15-ms HIC were 255 and 160, respectively. Its chest deceleration was measured at 33.4 g.<p />",
