abstract="Motorists have a new hazard to beware of when driving - the full moon. A study by an insurance group found that claims for accidents which happened during a full moon rose up to 50% compared with those at the time of a new moon. In the Midlands there was a 13% rise in all types of accidents ranging from multi vehicle pile ups to single car collision and reversing into lamp posts. Researchers attributed their findings to the heightened energy forces that also affects the weather and the tides. Eastern philosophy believes that people become more aggressive, active, and impatient around the full moon - more 'yang'. During the new moon people become calmer, gentler, and more 'yin'. Feng Shui expert Simon Brown said that he believed the changes took place because the sun reflected solar energy back to earth during the full moon. - Birmingham (England) Post<p />",
