abstract="This article describes the Automated Real-time Road Weather System (ARROWS), a decision-making support tool for road maintenance operations. Designed for the Washington State Department of Transportation (WDOT), ARROWS is a system which provides map displays for forecasts of precipitation, pavement temperatures for the statewide road network, air temperature, and wind forecasts.
