abstract="The present study investigated the comparability of two types of road presentation with respect to perception, activation, and driving behavior. It appeared that the perception of important aspects of a road environment did not differ between a scale-model in a visual road simulator and the real road. Driving behavior and activation, on the other hand, differed between both types of presentation. It should be noted, however, that this simulator was not designed for such purposes.<p />",
