abstract="In accidents involving burns most of the patients have not received proper first aid. This observation prompted the authors to start a health education programme for inpatients on the prevention of burns and first aid. They asked each patient about the circumstances of their accident, who applied the first aid and how it was done. They then gave their views and explained how first aid should have been applied under the particular circumstances.<p />",
