abstract="The medical demographic issues of the Leningradskaya Oblast are discussed. The demographic processes, the population health in the region reflects the all-Russian trends. Besides, the specific characteristics are established, the indicators are presented, the retrospective analysis is made and the major tendencies during the last six years are emphasized. The lower natality and the higher mortality are established. Among the major diseases of region are the cardiovascular diseases (58.6%), the accidents and traumas (14.6%), the neoplasms (11.7%). They are the main causes of population mortality. The death rate is very high, especially of traumas because of drunkenness. The mortality in the able-bodied age is higher among males than among females. Among population older than the able-bodied age the female mortality is prevailed.<p /><p>Language: ru</p>",
