abstract="Staff professionals seem never to have enough time to accomplish their tasks.  Present methods for controlling time allocation in able the professional to know how he is spending his time, or tell him to identify the important activities and not waste time on the less important.  Two variables in Pareto's Law, neglected by other authors, are discussed.  A new method for allocating a staff professionals time to projects in both unimaginative and in highly supportive organizations is developed using the law.  A case study and recommendations to professionals, managers, and researchers are presented.<p />",
