abstract="One hypothesis in the literature on anger and hypertension is that a chronic tendency to suppress anger is an etiological factor in the development of hypertension. The present study assessed the relationship between anger expression and hypertension in a multicultural sample of 1,407 San Francisco bus drivers. Simple and multiple regression analyses revealed no significant differences between suppressed or expressed anger and hypertension.
