abstract="The health of schoolchildren has been a matter of interest to physicians and school authorities for many years. This interest has been given an added impetus as a result of the war and the general awakening to the importance of child life. Thus far the care of the health of schoolchildren has been for the most part along conventional lines. The primary effort has been directed toward the detection of physical defects and the listing of them. Notice has been sent to parents telling them of the need for treatment. In some instances treatment has been secured through the follow-up work of school nurses.<p />",
