abstract="The definition of a confidence interval used in risk and reliability calculations is not the best one because it does not define the shortest confidence interval for skew distributions. In this paper the definition of the cumulative distribution was generalized by using Lebesgue integration. The application of a new definition allows the introduction of the shortest confidence interval (or domain) for all cases.<p />",
