abstract="A new distribution-free method is proposed for reliability demonstration tests. The method is based on the distribution-free formula for the upper bound of the probability of failure derived in previous papers. In contrast to the conventional distribution-free method which requires a large number of samples to be tested, the proposed method has the distinctive feature that it can be applied using only one or two samples. The method is therefore particularly suitable for high-cost products.<p />",
