abstract="Doctors and case managers assessed 61 clients of a Mobile Support and Treatment Service (MSTS) using the Health of the Nation Outcome Scales (a measure of symptoms and disability) and the Response Difficulty Checklist (a measure of difficulty to engage). Fifty-five of the clients were administered the SF-36, a brief structured interview assessing perceptions of health status, by workers unconnected with the MSTS. The clients saw themselves as having worse physical and mental health than average Australian adults. They rated their mental health as much worse than their physical health. The symptom and disability profile of the clients is presented and the relationship between symptoms, disabilities and health perceptions is investigated.<p />",
