abstract="By means of a device known as the V-scope several hundred individuals were asked to sight at a distant object. When photographed from or on the line of sight, the prints show the manifest dominance of one eye over the other. The V-scope is described in detail, and results are given showing that about 65% of the normal population demonstrated dominance of the right eye, about 30% dominance of the left and 5% give mixed or indeterminate results.
