abstract="The ability to evaluate the structural fire endurance of buildings has become a practical reality with the advancement of the computer. Accordingly a computer program, FASBUS II, has been developed to predict the performance of structural steel framed floor systems under exposure to the high temperatures of a fire. The computer model, which has been thoroughly examined to determine its reliability, has demonstrated the ability to accurately predict the structural fire response. With this program the designer can analyze a particular structural assembly and set of exposure conditions, and determine the response of the structure and the locations of potential damage.<p />",
