abstract="A case of botulism with severe course is described. The patient was a woman aged 42 years treated in a gynaecology hospital department with erroneous diagnosis of peritonitis and paralytic ileus. The development of signs of meningitis caused that the patient was transferred to a hospital for infectious diseases where the correct diagnosis was established. After 63 days of treatment the patient was discharged home without any clinically detectable sequelae of the disease.<p /><p>Language: pl</p>",
