abstract="The psychological factors that lead to a person becoming a suicide bomber are discussed. The common perception is that these people are homicidal maniacs who are poor and ingnorant. But recent studies have indicated that although the suicide bombers come from oppressed societies, they are no less educated and not poorer than common people. It is a combination of social, cultural, and political conditions that lead a normal person to become a suicide bomber.<p />",
