abstract="The survey report of high risk of suicide in patients by using antidepressant medicine known as Prozac is discussed. These drugs indiscriminately affect range of chemicals that relay signals between nerve cells namely serotonin, dopamine, noradrenaline and acetylcholine. In trials it was common practice to label as 'placebo suicides' which occurred in so-called 'washout' period when patients stopped taking any medicines in week before being assigned to either placebo or drug. This raised placebo suicide rate even if SSRI increased number of suicides.<p />",
