abstract="Directors and senior managers of companies evaluate the potential impact of the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 on their efficiency and compliance. The act is expected to be implemented in April, 2008, having significant impact on the performance and business plans of companies. The act will avoid proof of management failure, while requiring the Health and Safety Executive, to consider different management levels and the need of health and safety prosecutions of individuals, while enforcing the legislation. It has also abolished the need for the conviction of a company, to rely on proving the case against one of the directors. It can also be legislated without affect the law of manslaughter against individuals, making it possible to prosecute managers and directors for manslaughter.<p />",
