abstract="In the perspective of full-windshield HUD in cars, this study investigated whether adding a guidance cue in the visual scene influences drivers' gaze strategies and steering behavior. Participants negotiated a series of bends with or without a visual beacon positioned on the tangent point or close to it. Results revealed that the stability of steering was improved when tracking of the beacon was enforced.
