abstract="Parental controls are tools that enable guardians to protect their children from exposure to material they deem inappropriate. This paper details our study of parents and their children on their ability to configure parental controls on entertainment and communication devices. We discovered considerable difficulty on behalf of both parents and children in setting up parental controls on most devices.
