abstract="Real-world rollover accident characteristics differ somewhat from those derived from dolly rollover tests. This paper presents a mathematical model to reconstruct single vehicle rollover accidents. The model uses knowledge and data collected from 90 real-world accidents involving passenger cars, pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles and minivans. The model is divided into two sections: a trip section and a roll section. This model allows test data and/or field data to be incorporated in linear and angular speed calculations. An example using this model is provided.<p />",
