abstract="This paper describes the injuries to children under 5 years derived from a research study of all home accidents in a sector of the City of Bristol, U.K., during 1970-73. The objective of the research was to establish the frequency, severity and cost of home accidents in a defined community, and by use of specialist on-site investigations to establish a greater understanding of the behavioral and environmental circumstances of the events, with a view to designing accident prevention programmes.<p />",
