abstract="The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is turning to human factors research to provide support in the development and evaluation of performance and design standards. A review of current standards for the design of fall warning systems reveals several areas where human factors research can substantially contribute to the development of safety standards. The review provides a conceptual framework for future research efforts and describes research needs in the development and validation of visual, auditory and tactile warning systems.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
