abstract="Research investigated the ability of pilots of differing experience and capability to make vehicle control decisions. Three groups of pilots and three groups of pilot trainees performed the Flight Decsion-making Assessment Task (FDAT). The FDAT is a micro-computer based, discrete-time vehicle control task. Differences in FDAT performance were found as a function of pilot capability. Results are discussed in terms of pilot capability and of decision factors involved in vehicle control.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
