abstract="Homicide by firearms is one of the alarming phenomenon in the present-day social life. In more than one half of the homicide cases (n=1816) reported to the New Jersey health authorities during 1925 through 1934, firearms where the means employed.The intimate connection of firearms with homicide has caused complaints to be widespread about the ease with which firearms may be obtained especially by the responsible use and the lack of adequate regulations concerning their manufacture and sale. It is therefore been strongly urged that the sale of firearms be greatly restricted in that severe punishment be meted out to the person carrying a gun of any kind without a permit.<p />",
