abstract="Note: This publication examined the effects of participation in the Improving Social Awareness-Social Problem Solving (ISA-SPS) Project in grades 4 and 5 with self-destructive behavior (antisocial behavior and alcohol and tobacco use) in high school. Involvement in the ISA-SPS Project seemed to strengthen social competence and prosocial behavior.The ISA-SPS is a school-based problem solving and social skills development/prevention program for at risk elementary and middle school students.
