abstract="Five different vehicle safety functions were developed in the INTERSAFE-2 project to respond to the significantly higher risk of accidents at intersections. A safety impact analysis was performed, and it showed that all developed intersection safety functions had a positive effect on safety. The analysis also showed that implementing a combination system having all the developed features would be more reasonable than just introducing single functions. If used in all vehicles and in 10% of intersections, a system consisting of all safety functions would have an impact of 9% on fatalities and 17% on injuries within EU27.<p />",
