abstract="Bicycle sharing systems have frequently been cited as a way to solve the &quot;last mile&quot; problem and connect users to public transit networks. The public bicycle system in Beijing suffered a decline after the 2008 Olympic Games. This paper analyzes the causes for failure of the first generation of public bicycle system in Beijing. How to re-establish it? A new scheme for Beijing public bicycle system is introduced based on the worldwide experiences on the implementation of public bicycle plans.<p />",
