abstract="During 5 consecutive years 20 patients with ureteral gunshot wounds were treated at the Detroit General Hospital. Among the 19 patients treated surgically 4 unrelated deaths occurred and 3 patients underwent a second exploration. No kidney was lost. Our surgical technique involving a tension-free, watertight anastomosis and diversion is emphasized. We believe that better results are obtained with stented repairs.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
