abstract="This paper reports the development of standard procedures for the analysis of lead, antimony, arsenic, barium, copper and silver by AAS. The corresponding NAA procedure is also given in each case. The interferences from elements which are usually encountered in samples from shooting cases have been studied and are reported. The sample preparation techniques in different types of investigations are also reported. The considerations for applying either AAS or NAA for each application are discussed.<p />",
