abstract="Concussion is a commonly encountered consequence of participation in sports. The symptoms of youth concussion are subtle and vary from athlete to athlete. Much attention has been paid recently to the diagnosis of concussion, and the understanding of this condition has increased significantly in the past 10 years. Legislative initiatives have focused on the diagnosis and management of concussion to keep children and adolescents with concussion away from the field of play until their symptoms have resolved fully.
