abstract="A short, self-report acculturation scale designedfor use with Hispanic youth is presented. The ShortAcculturation Scalefor Hispanic Youth (SASH-Y) is a downward extension of the ShortAcculturation Scale for Hispanics, an existing acculturation scale for Hispanic adults. Initial normative data as well as internal consistency and split-half reliabilities for the SASH-Y are provided. An exploratory factor analysis conducted on scores reported by 141 Hispanic youth in Grades 5 through 8 resulted in three factors labeled Extrafamilial Language Use, Familial Language Use, and Ethnic Social Relations. Implications for using the SASH-Y in psychoeducational assessment batteries are discussed.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>",
