abstract="Measurements using the Alcotest 7110 MK III Evidential breathalyzer in six sober subjects after ten minutes following the application of ethanol-containing drops or ethanol-containing asthma sprays did not reveal final values exceeding 0.00 mg/L. However, measurements yielded several individual values up to 0.033 mg/L. When ethanol-containing asthma sprays were given to subjects, who had consumed alcohol before and were then in the alcohol elimination phase, an increase in the breath alcohol concentration not exceeding + 0.307 mg/L was found in four of six subjects. Error messages did not occur during these measurements. Hence, a reduction of the waiting time from 20 to a controlling time of 10 minutes only, as provided by DIN VDE 0405, is not recommended from an expert view.<p />",
