abstract="Although mental health problems are relatively prevalent among service members, research related to treatment-seeking attitudes suggests that a significant number of service members are unwilling to receive treatment for deployment-related mental health problems. The present study examined the relationships between public stigma, self-stigma, and attitudes toward seeking mental health treatment with a sample of 126 active and retired U.S. military service members using an online survey. The results of the present study indicate that self-stigma mediated the relationship between public stigma and attitudes toward seeking mental health treatment.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
