abstract="The authors' own examinations of 6,733 blood samples drawn from traffic-offenders in 1978 and 1979 showed approximately 10.8% of the samples with alcohol values below 0.8(per mille). In these cases, the results of the initial Alcotest suggested a higher blood alcohol concentration. Possible sources of this discrepancy are discussed. It is proposed that police officers on principle wait for more than 15 min before ordering an Alcotest.<p />",
