abstract="Blood alcohol determinations were made in 100 blood samples of donors representing a broad collective. 92% of the samples did not contain any blood alcohol, 5% exhibited concentrations between 0.01 and 0.03%, and in 2 cases values of about 0.07% were detected. These concentrations do not influence the blood alcohol concentration in cases where an increase of the blood alcohol concentration is claimed to be due to the transfusion of blood from a drunken donor.<p />",
