abstract="This paper compares two methods for the determination of alcohol levels in blood: first Widmark-Gruner and secondly spectral analysis as a common colorimetric method for measuring transparency changes in potassium dichromate in sulphuric acid before and after reduction with ethanol standard solutions. A comparison of results and measured values shows a high degree of accuracy for spectral analysis in the determination of alcohol concentration levels in various solutions.<p />",
